A bruisingly comic play that pits two men against one another-one wearing a fifteen-foot pair of trousers, one not wearing any trousers at all-the piece explores some of the more desperate corners of our society and aims to answer the question: just what does it mean to wear a pair of pants?

Amsterdam Marionette Theatre Continues DOCTOR FAUST, 3/20-5/28

After a brief hiatus, the Amsterdam Marionette Company will resume performances of The Amazing Journey of Doctor Faust on Mar. 20. The play, which uses music by Gounod, Marenco, Wagner and Offenbach, started on Jan. 23 and continued until Feb. 13. Faust will now close on May 28.

Hartford Stage Hosting Two Special Exhibits During DIVINE RIVALRY, 3/2-3/20

Hartford Stage will celebrate the artistic partnership among director Michael Wilson, set designer Jeff Cowie, and sound designer John Gromada in Working with Michael, a multi-media exhibit in 'room,' Hartford Stage's new function space. At the same time, the theatre will unveil Part II of Capturing the Moment, a season-long retrospective of the work of company photographer T. Charles Ericson, commemorating his 25 years with Hartford Stage. The Ericson installation will be in the theatre's upper lobby. The exhibits coincide with the run of Divine Rivalry, a world premiere play by noted political journalist Michael Kramer, which is the last MainStage production Wilson will be directing as Hartford Stage Artistic Director. Cowie designed the sets for the production, and Gromada the sound and original music. Official opening of both exhibits is Wednesday, March 2 at 6:00 p.m., directly before the 7:30 performance of Divine Rivalry.

Chicago actors join the cast of Belarus Free Theatre's (BFT) acclaimed production of Being Harold Pinter for a one-night-only encore benefit performance on February 21 at 7:30pm. Tony-and Emmy Award-winning John Mahoney (Frasier, The Seafarer), Karen Aldridge (The Trinity River Plays, The Cook), Phillip James Brannon (The Brother/Sister Plays, Richard III), Joseph Foronda (Pacific Overtures, Miss Saigon), Ora Jones (Animal Crackers, The Brother/Sister Plays), Sandra Marquez (Boleros for the Disenchanted, Anna in the Tropics) and Teatro Vista Artistic Director Edward F. Torres (Electricidad, Elliot (A Soldier's Fugue)) join the Belarusian company on stage during the moving climactic moments of Being Harold Pinter, concluding an historic theatrical event for the City of Chicago. Two additional Chicago actors are still to be announced.

Celebrating the first 15 years of the Musical Theatre program, Missouri State University will present FOOTNOTES, a joint showcase of graduating students and alumni on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 9:30 pm at Joe's Pub in New York. The cast includes Kyle Dean Massey (Next to Normal), Kendra Kassebaum (Wicked) and Andrew C. Call (American Idiot). The evening spotlights alumni instrumental in developing the musical theatre degree, as well as recent graduates and a handful of graduating seniors.
