For its annual spring production, The Alden in McLean will present 'Miss Nelson is Missing,' a comedy by Jeffrey Hatcher. The show will span two weekends, with shows on Saturday and Sunday, March 29 and 30 and April 5 and 6, at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10, $8 for MCC district residents. Based on one of the most memorable books its time by Harry Allard and James Marshall, Miss Nelson is Missing is written by nationally-renowned, local playwright, Joan Cushing, who is the most produced playwright in children's theatre according to TYA Today Magazine. President Barack Obama appointed seven new members of the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities. They will join 30 other private members appointed by the President and twelve federal representatives, whose agencies have cultural programs such as the National Endowments for the Arts and the Humanities, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, U.S. Department of Education, the Smithsonian Institution, the Library of Congress, the National Gallery of Art and the John F.
