Presented by Friends of the High Line, High Line Art is pleased to announce a new High Line Commission by Los Angeles-based artist Henry Taylor. Titled the floaters, this large-scale mural will be hand-painted by a professional sign company on the wall of a building overlooking the High Line at West 22nd Street, and will be visible from the park as well as the street below.

Circa 1881 and The Peninsula Chicago present Whoville, an exhibition featuring over thirty art works from the Beth Rudin DeWoody Collection. On view from September 9 to October 23, 2016, at The Peninsula Chicago, the exhibition coincides with the annual EXPO CHICAGO, the International Exposition of Contemporary & Modern Art (September 22-25, 2016). Whoville is the latest project from Circa 1881's ongoing partnership with The Peninsula Hotels to present rotating art exhibitions of world-class contemporary art for the hotels' public spaces. Opening March 18, 2016, this landmark exhibition inaugurates The Met Breuer, ushering in a new phase for the Met's expanded engagement with modern and contemporary art, presented in Marcel Breuer's iconic building on Madison Avenue. With over 190 works dating from the Renaissance to the present—drawn mainly from the Museum's collection, supplemented with major national and international loans—the exhibition demonstrates the type of groundbreaking show that can result when the Museum mines its vast collection and curatorial resources to present modern and contemporary art within a deep historical context.
