The North American premiere of FROM HERE TO ETERNITY plays at Olgunquit Playhouse through October 29, and the critics are weighing in!

The Ogunquit Playhouse is honored to be part of the North American rollout of the new musical From Here to Eternity, on stage now through October 29. The musical is based on the acclaimed novel (which also became a multi-Academy Award-winning film), by James Jones with lyrics by Tim Rice, book by Donald Riceand Bill Oakes and music by Stuart Brayson. Multiple award-winning film and theatre lyricist Tim Rice is bringing excerpts of his latest musical, 'From Here to Eternity,' to Honolulu to participate in the commemoration events of the 75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor.

MOTHERLODE THEATRE, RCT Theatres, in association with Wales Millennium Centre, and Arts Council Wales, presents the US premiere of THE GOOD EARTH at The Flea Theater. This acclaimed Welsh folk play with music is directed by “one of the most powerful and influential women in Welsh theatre” (Wales Online), Rachael Boulton (director of Blackout at the Royal National Theatre in London) . The limited New York engagement, prior to its World Tour, is currently playing at the upstairs space at The Flea Theater, 41 White Street, New York, NY 10013. Performances continue through Saturday, September 3rd, 2016. Opening Night is Wednesday, August 24th at 7:00 pm. Tickets are available at www.theflea.org.

Legendary lyricist Tim Rice's new musical, From Here to Eternity, is currently playing at Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse through July 20. Based off the 1951 novel of the same name by James Jones, the show tells the story of a group of U.S. Army soldiers during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. From Here to Eternity, as Rice tells us via a phone interview, is much different than some of his past musicals including The Wizard of Oz and Beauty and the Beast. 'It's not like Aladdin or The Lion King,' he explains. 'The material is very different and more mature than those shows. It's a very complex story. There is a lot going on in it but that is what makes it such a beautiful show.'
