The West End production of Les Misérables has announced plans to reopen in the West End without social distancing on 29 May.

Performances began on 5 December 2020 for Les Misérables -The Staged Concert at the Sondheim Theatre with the run - which has been extended twice - now concluding on 28 February 2021.

Recorded live at the Gielgud Theatre last year with an all-star cast including Michael Ball as Javert, Alfie Boe as Jean Valjean, Carrie Hope Fletcher as Fantine, Matt Lucas as Thénardier, Rob Houchen as Marius, Bradley Jaden as Enjolras, Katy Secombe as Madame Thénardier, Shan Ako as Eponine and Lily Kerhoas as Cosette and an orchestra of over 65.

Birmingham Contemporary Music Group (BCMG) returns to its home venue, the CBSO Centre, on 22 November and 13 December to give five world premiere performances in what will mark the new music ensemble's first live indoor concerts in front of an audience for over eight months. Both concerts will also be made available online via a ticketed live stream (22 November) and digital release (13 December).

Tonight, it was reported that due to overwhelming demand the show's producers have announced a two week extension. The initial six weeks of performances have completely sold out.
