On Tuesday, September 29, immediately upon completion of filming his starring role on the fourth season of the Cinemax series 'Banshee,' Hoon Lee joined Tony winner Kelli O'Hara and the company, assuming the role of The King, which was originated for this production by Tony Award nominee Ken Watanabe. Edie Brickell and Carmen Cusak have been added to the roster of performers for The Lilly Awards Broadway Cabaret, an evening of musical showstoppers written by women and performed by Broadway's best to benefit The Lilly Awards Foundation (Marsha Norman, President) whose mission is to promote gender parity at all levels of theatrical production, and develop and celebrate the work of women in the theater.

The cast of the new musical ALLEGIANCE were visited by a trio of young Broadway stars at the Sunday matinee performance at the Longacre Theatre. Tony nominee Sydney Lucas who was one of the stars of 'Fun Home' joined her brother, Jake Lucas who is in 'The King & I' along with current 'Fun Home' co-star Oscar Wiliams for the performance. The Broadway League and The Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) just welcomed Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth as host for the seventh annual BROADWAY SALUTES event Tuesday night, September 29, 2015. The event included special guest performances by Nikki M James, Nathaniel Hackmann, Sydney Lucas and Jake Lucas who each performed a song from three shows that opened the year the BROADWAY SALUTES honorees entered the business. In this industry-wide public celebration, theatre professionals received special recognition for having worked 25, 35 and 50+ years on Broadway for their valuable contributions to the business.

2015 Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction Raises Record-Breaking Amount for BC/EFA

Broadway fans celebrated the 29th Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction by bidding on and buying everything from tickets to a bevy of opening night performances to custom-made music mixes, from autographed musical phrases to once-in-a-lifetime theatrical experiences. The result: a record $756,655 was raised for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
