The Firehouse Theatre Project proudly announces the final show of its 2009-10 season, Eric Bogosian's 'Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll', running April 15-May 8.

On April 19, 2010 the National Dance Institute will honor Harry Belafonte at their 33rd annual gala, at the NOKIA Theatre Times Square beginning at 6 PM. The evening's festivities will be emceed by Terrence Mann. In addition to performances by NDI dancers, Allegra Kent, George S. Irving, and Isaiah Sheffer will perform Aesop's Fable, The Lion and the Mouse. The evening will also honor director and producer James D. Stern. Proceeds benefit National Dance Institute.

Nashville Ballet will host Jacques d'Amboise Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. for "An Encounter With Dance". Local youth have been invited to meet this ballet legend and have the opportunity to learn more about dance movement. Jacques has touched the lives of two million children across the globe and Nashville Ballet is honored to have him here in Nashville. He will also be honored at Ballet Ball (at the Hutton Hotel) Saturday evening.

The Met's new production of Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffmann, conducted by Music Director James Levine and directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher, premieres on December 3.

Patrick Swayze (1952 - 2009) will be honored posthumously with the 2009 Rolex Dance Award. The Career Transition For Dancers' Awards for Outstanding Contributions to the World of Dance will be given to Lawrence Herbert and the Lloyd E. Rigler - Lawrence E. Deutsch Foundation. The show will be followed by an 'Anniversary Supper with the Stars' at The Grand Ballroom at The Hilton New York.

MRS. WARREN'S PROFESSION by George Bernard Shaw was performed Monday, July 20 at 7pm at The Players, 16 Gramercy Park South (20th St. east of Park Av), continuing the Project Shaw series. Mrs. Warren's Profession starred Michael Cristofer, Tyne Daly, Sean Dugan, Xanthe Elbrick, George S. Irving, Brian Murray, and narrator Howard Kissel, with guest host from NEWSWEEK: JEREMY McCARTER. The National Dance Institute's advanced team of artists took to the stage in a spirited performance honoring the late Beatle's work. the youngsters moving and grooving to 'Imagine.' The choreography was inspired both by the song's lyrics and by American Sign Language.

The Kurt Weill Project, an innovative new quartet created to explore the music of Kurt Weill will debut in a prime time engagement at The Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, from March 25 to March 29. Consisting of four highly accomplished musicians -- Hilary Gardner (vocals), Frank Ponzio (piano), Pete Donovan (bass) and Vito Lesczak (drums) -- The Kurt Weill Project premieres 'A Song About Forever' featuring songs from the group's debut CD of the same name which was put out last year (Consolidated Artists Productions).
