Actor, visual artist, dancer and performance artist John Kelly is garnering critical acclaim for his new show REBEL SONGS OF A RANGE QUEEN at Joe's Pub at The Public tonight, July 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Cinnabar Theater, the beloved professional theater in Sonoma County, has announced the shows selected for its 41st season. Each year, the nonprofit presents an exquisite mix of plays, musicals, opera, concerts, and culinary delights for local audiences - and this year will be no different. Ticket packages for two, three, or five shows just went on sale at a significant discount, with extra savings for youth and seniors.

Tomorrow marks an exciting landmark for Million Dollar Quartet. The Chicago production is celebrating 2,000 performances. To mark the occasion, original MDQ cast member (now on the National Tour) Kelly Lamont will join the company for a 'Sitting in with the Band' appearance during the encore. Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre's hit cabaret of over 30 songs by songwriter Cole Porter will be extended for an additional six weeks, running the rest of the summer. Artistic Director Fred Anzevino announced the extension on Tuesday, July 2.

If there's one thing Colorado Springs could use right now (apart from help rebuilding after yet another devastating wildfire), it's a little catharsis. So while the timeliness of Fine Arts Center's Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris certainly wasn't intentional, it's nonetheless welcome, as Brel's clever, cynical ballads are just the sort of thing to vent all that pent up frustration and clear away some room for hope.

Annie Siegmann is performing her latest cabaret performance at the very intimate venue, La Boheme, which ideally suits the even greater intimacy of her production. Siegmann has not touched alcohol for just over six months now, and so this is a very personal, revealing, and often dark tale of her struggle with the demon drink.

Joe's Pub at The Public is proud to welcome seven different artist residencies this summer including sultry pop songstress DIANE BIRCH, New Orleans piano virtuoso HENRY BUTLER, performance artist JOHN KELLY, swinging jazz band THE HOT SARDINES, airhostess/comedienne PAM ANN, and more. Like its NEW YORK VOICES commissioning program, these residencies are a central part of the venue's commitment to artist development and to providing space for new work.
