Following its sold-out run of "La Cage aux Folles," Cinnabar Theater in Sonoma County rings in 2014 with a cabaret celebrating the songs of a legendary European troubadour. "Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris" opens at a special gala on New Year's Eve and continues through January 19.

Barb Jungr to Premiere DANCING IN THE DARK at 59E59 Theaters, 12/22-29

59E59 Theater has announced that renowned British chanteuse Barb Jungr makes her only NYC engagement of 2013 at 59E59 Theaters when she premieres her new show BARB JUNGR: DANCING IN THE DARK, accompanied on piano by Tracy Stark. BARB JUNGR: DANCING IN THE DARK begins performances on Sunday, December 22 for a limited engagement through Sunday, December 29. The performance schedule is Tuesday & Thursday at 7:15 PM; Friday - Saturday 5:15 PM & 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 7:15 PM. Please note, there is an added performance on Sunday, December 29 at 3:15 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Single tickets are $35 ($24.50 for 59E59 Members). Rubicon to Host HOLIDAY CENTRAL with 35 Seasonal Shows, 11/29-12/23

Move over Grinch; Santa Claus is coming to town and taking up residence at Rubicon Theatre in Ventura! Rubicon's November/ December HOLIDAY CENTRAL calendar offers a sparkling array of more than 35 shows and events for all ages. The festivities begin with the return of a holiday revue with six Broadway singers and a local children's chorus; followed by a late-night adult comedy presented in a cabaret setting; a poetic reading of wartime love letters; and culminating with an enchanting new musical from the Tony and Olivier Award-winning director of Les Miserables and Nicholas Nickleby and the creators of Jane Eyre and Daddy Long Legs, who will have a five-week residency at Rubicon during the holidays.

Theo Ubique's A VERY MERRY MADRIGAL Opens 11/23

Chicago's selection of seasonal shows this winter will include the exciting addition of Theo Ubique's updating of the Madrigal Dinner tradition for all audiences. Song, food, poetry and variety acts will combine into a most festive feast for A Very Merry Madrigal. Weekend matinee performances plus reduced ticket prices for children under12 will make the event accessible and affordable for families as well as adults. Conceived by David Heimann and Fred Anzevino, A Very Merry Madrigal will offer yuletide folk music from the 15th Century to the 21st, with a cast of six singers and instrumentalists performing new arrangements by Aaron Benham. A wassail (non-alcoholic hot mulled cider) and a figgy pudding dessert will be served to all and an optional dinner entree will be available for an additional charge. Mixed in between the songs, food, and drink will be readings of poems by Shakespeare, Dante and Robert Frost as well as variety acts and selection of a King and Queen from the audience.

Everyman Theatre Extends RED Through 12/8

Everyman Theatre is pleased to announce that an extra week of performances will be added to its production of the Tony Award-winning play, Red. The production will now run from November 6th through December 8th.
