Priscilla Queen of the Desert began previews last night at the Princess of Wales Theatre. It will have a 12 week pre-Broadway run in Toronto before leaving for Broadway where it opens in March of 2011. Everyone involved will be quick to tell you that the real 'star' of the show is 'Priscilla' herself, and BWW was on hand as Tony Sheldon (Bernadette) introduced 'Priscilla' to the Toronto press. On Friday October 8th, Mirvish Production invited Toronto media to meet the 'star' of Priscilla Queen of the Desert (which begins performances Oct 12th) - Priscilla herself! At a special event at the Princess of Wales Theatre Tony Sheldon ('Bernadette') introduced Priscilla, provided a tour and chatted with the media.
