The Belmont Theatre will present the Murder Mystery/Thriller POSTMORTEM written by York native Ken Ludwig in The Bon-Ton Studio October 21-23 & 27-30. The mystery takes place in  April of 1922 and the cast of William Gillette's latest Broadway revival of 'Sherlock Holmes' has assembled for a weekend of relaxation at his magnificent medieval castle on a bluff overlooking the Connecticut River. For entertainment, actor-manager, playwright and heart-throb William Gillette, best known for his 30-year portrayal of the famous crime sleuth Sherlock Holmes, has arranged a seance. Now the scene is set for his greatest role. Someone is trying to murder Gillette and he suspects it is one of his guests. Intrepid, eccentric and wildly romantic, Gillette plans to solve the case himself a la Sherlock Holmes.

The York Symphony Orchestra's 2016-17 season, A Musical Journey Through Time, goes on sale Aug. 1. 

The York Symphony Orchestra announces its 2016-17 season, A Musical Journey Through Time, a series of eleven performances, which will include: a Classical series featuring six performances, inspired by some of the best known compositions of all time; three Pops performances, featuring the music of John Williams, the Titanic, and holiday selections audiences will know and love; along with two family-focused presentations, including the popular educational concert featuring Classical Kids from Chicago and a performance featuring National Public Radio's, From The Top, Christopher O'Riley. Music Director and Conductor, Lawrence Golan, returns to the stage after a successful 2015-16 season to lead the orchestra on this time-inspired journey.

It's not a pretty show but it's one of the most compelling in theatre, and solid direction and casting make it a thought-provoking drama. York Little Theatre does it right.

?York Little Theatre will present ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST, by Dale Wasserman, in The Bon Ton Studio April 29-May 1 & May 5-8. Ken Kesey's novel, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," appeared in the early 1960's, in the middle of Vietnam war protests, the civil rights movement, and the start of women's' liberation. The book touched a nerve. It was an instant best seller and was made first into a play and then into a multiple Oscar winning movie.

Riverdance - The 20th Anniversary World Tour will play Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W Randolph) for a limited one-week engagement, April 5-10, 2016. York Little Theatre will present DRACULA in The Bon Ton October 23-25, 29-31 & November 1. There is no place to hide in the intimate setting of the Bon Ton Studio where the audience feels as though they are experiencing the action first hand with the characters. The front row sits on the actual stage and will certainly feel the terror that Dracula brings.  Innovative use of projections, stagecraft, sound and lighting will have the audience fully submersed in the DRACULA experience.

Music Director and Conductor Lawrence Golan returns on the heels of a noteworthy inaugural season to lead the Orchestra in presenting a symphonic force of nature. Season subscriptions are on sale beginning Monday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m., and single tickets will be available beginning Saturday, August 1 at 10:00 a.m.

Local singer and actor Jerome Elliott presents Up In Flames at the Arthur Newman Theater at the Joslyn Center in Palm Desert on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 2 PM. Up in Flames is Elliott's seventh original cabaret show since 2008, following such critically acclaimed shows as Bat Out of Jersey, A Dry Heat, Crawling Back to Broadway, and Sweet Nerd of Youth. Audiences can expect Elliott's trademark witty repartee as he performs a program of "songs so hot, they're cool!" His longtime accompanist and collaborator Charlie Creasy will join him onstage, with a special appearance by Keisha D, Elliott's duet partner for the past two years.

The annual National Meningitis Association (NMA) Give Kids a Shot Gala was once again an emotion filled evening but a stellar success in aiding the fight against meningitis, a potentially vaccine preventable disease. Held in the elegant ballrooms of the historic New York Athletic Club with phenomenal views of Central Park as a backdrop, hundreds of New York's movers and shakers turned out to support the cause and also to congratulate meningitis survivor & Para Olympic Gold Medalist Nick Springer, an Honorary Chair along with Ambassador & Mrs. John L.
