Stephen Spurling's wacky comedy about a group therapy session set inside the apartment of one of the patients opened last night at The Hudson Guild Theatre, home of The New York Theatre Festival. Directed and Produced by Christopher Noffke, this fast paced 1980's sitcom-style farce stars Hannah Howzdy (Wanda), Alex Stone (Roger), Jack Flatley (Charles), Mel Gonzales (The Salesman), Benjamin Cardona (Dr. Blake), and Dean Scotti and Mitchell Torres as two clowning Cops (The Brains and The Dumb One respectfully).

Directed by Christopher Noffke and assisted by Lauren Shields, this hilarious romp features Hannah Howzdy (Wanda), Alex Stone (Roger), Jack Flatley (Charles), Mel Gonzales (The Salesman), Benjamin Cardona (Dr. Blake), and Dean Scotti (The Brains) and Mitchell Torres (Not The Brains). A beautiful woman, a dead body and a smoking gun!  Agatha Christie's classic play The Unexpected Guest, celebrates its 60th birthday this year having opened in the West End at the Duchess Theatre on August 12, 1958.  Be Bold Productions has mounted a faithful production of her plot-twisting work Off-Broadway at the Player Theatre.

With original music by Michael Sgouros, played by a live percussion trio, the show is wrapped in the warmth of joy, suspense and a sprinkling of tender-hearted redemption.

Productions' Frankenstein - The Musical, began previews Off-Broadway on September 29th, officially opening on October 7th and runs through November 12th at the Players Theatre in Greenwich Village. Fifteen high school students received scholarships for successfully competing in the 2013 James C. Macdonald Fine Arts Scholarship Competition. Sponsored by the Alden at the McLean Community Center (MCC), the final competition was held at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 23. MCC Governing Board Chair Kevin Dent and Alden Director of Youth Programs Kathleen Herr presented the awards at the final competition-performance. Scroll down for a photo of some of the winners!
