Presented by The Barn Stage Company, Cabaret at The Merc's Summer Series returns in August with the irreverent and award-winning musical URINETOWN. The show runs Thursday-Sunday for two weekends at The Truax Building in Old Town Temecula. This 2002 Tony Award winning comedy satirizes the legal system, social irresponsibility, populism, and corporate mismanagement. URINETOWN will be directed by J. Scott Lapp, with Musical Direction by Taylor Peckham and choreography by Chelsea Nicole.

Cabaret at The Merc's Summer Series returns for its 2nd year with an incredibly moving and intimate production of Jason Robert Brown's The Last 5 Years, starring Allen Everman and Lisa Livesay. Directed by Susan Jordan DeLeon who starred last year in their sold out production of Next To Normal, this beautiful piece of theater follows two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. Presented by The Barn Stage Company, Cabaret at The Merc's Summer Series returns for its 2nd year with an incredibly moving and intimate production of Jason Robert Brown's The Last 5 Years, starring Allen Everman and Lisa Livesay. Directed by Susan Jordan DeLeon who starred last year in their sold out production of Next To Normal, this beautiful piece of theater follows two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show's unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.

Sondheim Unplugged, an acoustic evening of Sondheim tunes (featuring one song from every one of his major projects) will play The Coterie at The Hollywood Renaissance Hotel on June 2nd at 8:30PM. Prior to the Hollywood engagement, the concert produced by Jordan Beck and directed by J. Scott Lapp (Broadway's Bonnie & Clyde), featuring all new arrangements by David Lamoureux played at Caffeinated Cabaret in Downtown Riverside on May 20th and Cabaret at The Merc in Old Town Temecula this last Sunday night, May 27th.
