Arc Stages Announces First Annual Playwriting Festival LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDORED THING

The Arc Stages First Annual Playwriting Festival: 'Love is a Many Splendored Thing' will be directed by Reid Aronson, Rena Gavigan, and Jeff Raab. The evening will feature 9 original one-act plays inspired by the theme of love written by; Katherine Swan, Jeffrey Neuman, Chris Widney, Angela J. Davis, Jeff Dunne, Seth Freeman, Ava Love Hanna, Paige Zubel, and James Still.

Directed by Noah Himmelstein (Rooted), The Lucky Star begins previews on April 26, 2022, in Theater A and opens May 5 for a run through June 12, 2022.

59E59 Theaters Announces Casts for Inaugural VOLT Festival Plays

59E59 Theaters has announced the complete casts & creative teams for the inaugural VOLT Festival at 59E59. New Golden Age begins previews on April 28, 2022, in Theater B and opens May 11 for a run through June 9, 2022. Goldie, Max & Milk begins previews May 1, 2022, in Theater C and opens May 8 for a run through June 4, 2022.

Little Island, New York City's new public park in Hudson River Park by W. 13th Street, begins performances for the 2021 Storytelling Festival tomorrow, Wednesday, July 21. BWW Interview: Ann Hearn Tobolowsky Excitedly Directing REYKJAVÍK Live & In-Person Again!

The Road Theatre Company has begun streaming playwright Steve Yockey’s REYKJAVÍK, their second show of their 2021 virtual season. Set in Reykjavík, Iceland, Ann Hearn Tobolowsky directs the REYKJAVÍK cast of Stephen Tyler Howell, Alaska Jackson, Carlos Lacamara, Brian Ibsen, Danny Lee Gomez and Jacqueline Misaye. Ann managed to find some time between REYKJAVÍK rehearsals, and being half of a beloved Los Angeles theatre acting/directing couple, to answer a few of my enquiries.

When the pandemic hit, Charles E. Gerber, a NY actor, director, and acting instructor, moved his studio, Will's Playshop, online. From April 25th at 4 p.m. EST - Midnight April 29th, performances will be accessible to a worldwide audience, on a 'pay what you can' basis to benefit The Food Bank for New York City as well as The Workshop Theater.
