The Adelphi Orchestra Presents : FROM VIENNA WITH LOVE

The Adelphi Orchestra now in its 65th season of Music for All presents From Vienna with Love under the baton of Music Director & Conductor Richard Owen. The Perlman Music Program/Suncoast is excited to announce the Florida west coast premiere of Itzhak Perlman - In The Fiddler's House - A Night of Klezmer on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. This kaleidoscope of Bernstein's most popular Broadway works includes On the Town: Three Dance Episodes, West Side Story: Suite for Violin and Orchestra, and Candide: Overture, "Glitter and Be Gay," and Suite.

From classical to jazz to traditional fiddle music and Americana, Micarelli's trademark emotional vulnerability and technical wizardry bind it all together for an incredible evening of music.

The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra's Liquid Music Series Presents Hanna Benn & Deantoni Parks: Procession

Analogue, digital, acoustic and synthetic sonorities seamlessly intermingle in this luminous collaboration between Atlanta-based duo vocalist/composer Hanna Benn (Son Lux, Boots) and percussionist/composer/producer Deantoni Parks (John Cale, Sade, T Bone Burnett, Flying Lotus). Procession explores the spiritual and emotional core of ceremonial music in the form of a song cycle, with new arrangements by Benn featuring her ethereal vocal textures elevated by electronic flourishes, and anchored by Park's ceaselessly kinetic rhythms alongside an SPCO string quintet of Maureen Nelson, Nick Tavani, David Auerbach, Rebecca Merblum and Zachary Cohen. This world premiere for chamber ensemble marks the Twin Cities debut of Benn and Parks as a duo. Join us to step into this truly numinous sanctum of sound.

American Classical Orchestra Opens Lincoln Center Season With All-Mozart Program

American Classical Orchestra (ACO) kicks off its 2018-19 season on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 8:00pm in Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center with Mozart Serenade, a concert of festive music by Mozart. ACO is joined by acclaimed period violinist Krista Bennion Feeney in Mozart's Haffner Serenade and will use contrabasses instead of cellos as is indicated in the original score, creating a refreshingly transparent sound. Pianist Christian De Luca, a virtuosic Juilliard historical performance program graduate, makes his Lincoln Center debut on fortepiano in Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21 in C Major, a work popularized in the Swedish film Elvira Madigan. The 2018-2019 season marks the orchestra's 34th year of presenting historically accurate, engaging, and educational concerts, led by Artistic Director and Founder Thomas Crawford.

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today that tickets for Itzhak Perlman - In The Fiddler's House will go on sale Friday, August 17 at 10 a.m. Itzhak Perlman, the reigning virtuoso of the violin, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Winspear Opera House in the downtown Dallas Arts District.

CSO Music Director Rossen Milanov and the Columbus Symphony open the 2018-19 Masterworks season with a concert inspired by the 1940 Disney classic, Fantasia. Bach's majestic music, as seen through the eyes of legendary conductor Stokowski, and Wagner's terrifying "Ride of the Valkyries" are paired with the rich orchestral palettes of Dukas' The Sorcerer's Apprentice and Strauss' iconic Also Sprach Zarathustra, made famous by the film 2001: A Space Odyssey.

MUSIC MOUNTAIN Presents St. Petersburg Piano Quartet, Plus Josh Lawrence and Color Theory

Music Mountain, America's longest running summer chamber music festival, continues its 89th season with the St. Petersburg Piano Quartet, offering an afternoon of Beethoven and Brahms on Sunday, August 19 (3pm). Peak Performances kicks off its 2018-19 season with the world premiere of Hatuey: Memory of Fire, a rousing Afro-Cuban-Yiddish opera performed in English, Yiddish and Spanish, with music by Frank London, libretto by Elise Thoron, direction by Mary Birnbaum, and choreography by Maija Garcia.

TEVYE SERVED RAW is an evening of Sholem Aleichem material, with adaptations of his 'Tevye' stories ('What, Me Worthy?' and 'Get Thee Gone!'), scenes from his own long-unseen Yiddish stage version, and three of his purely comedic stories, newly adapted ('Strange Jews on a Train,' 'The Yiddish Sisyphus' and 'A Stepmother's Trash-Talk'). The production is set to officially open next Tuesday, July 17th at The Playroom Theater in the Heart of the Theatre District, 151 West 46 Street (just east of Seventh Ave.)

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association has announced the four conductors who will participate in the 2018/19 Dudamel Fellowship Program: Nuno Coelho, Stephen Mulligan, Elena Schwarz, and Jesus Uzcategui. Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel, together with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, created the Dudamel Fellowship Program in 2009 to provide a unique opportunity for promising young conductors from around the world to develop their craft and enrich their musical experience through personal mentorship and participation in the LA Phil's orchestral, education, and community programs.
