Prolific violinist Lucia Micarelli brings her trademark musical wizardry to the Concert Hall at New York Society for Ethical Culture on Saturday, November 9 at 8:00PM. Lucia Micarelli made her debut as a violin soloist with the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra at age 6. At age eleven, Lucia was accepted into the prestigious Juilliard School of Music's Pre-College Division, where she studied with the renowned violinist Dorothy DeLay, and, also took lessons with Itzhak Perlman, Cho-Liang Lin, and Won-Bin Yim. Within a year, playing against some of the world's most gifted prodigies, she won the Pre-College Concerto Competition and settled into a routine that would combine instruction with concert appearances at the Hollywood Bowl, Lincoln Center, and other prominent international venues.

Earning widespread recognition for her starring role on HBO's "Treme," Micarelli has also toured with a variety of artist from all genres, including the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Josh Groban, Chris Botti and Barbra Streisand. She has released two solo albums, "Music From A Farther Room" and "Interlude". Micarelli recently finished her first PBS concert special, which has been airing throughout the United States, giving her fans a menu of classical, jazz, traditional fiddle music and Americana.
