Baruch Performing Arts Center With Blessed Unrest And Teatri ODA Of Kosovo Present REFUGE

Baruch Performing Arts Center, along with New York-based theater company Blessed Unrest and Teatri ODA of Kosovo, will co-present the World Premiere of Refuge from April 25 - May 11 @ 7:30, with a variable weekly schedule and a 5pm performance Sun May 5 (Opening Night April 27) at Baruch Performing Arts Center, 55 Lexington Avenue (25 Street between Third and Lexington Avenues), NYC. 

PLEASE EXCUSE MY DEAR AUNT SALLY Gets West Coast Premiere

A funny, sad, lyrical and highly original coming of age story from emerging playwright Kevin Armento features an unconventional narrator: the phone belonging to a troubled teen. Working Barn Productions presents the West Coast premiere of New York Times "Critic's Pick" Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally, directed by Peter Richards. The visiting production opens at the Odyssey Theatre on Sept. 16.

Christine Jones Wins 2011 Ruth Morley Design Award

The League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), a non-profit organization committed to promoting visibility and increasing opportunities for women in the professional theatre, is pleased to recognize the talents of two outstanding women: the LPTW Lucille Lortel Award and accompanying grant will be presented to Jessica Burr, Artistic Director of Blessed Unrest; and the Ruth Morley Design Award will be given to Tony Award-winning scenic designer Christine Jones. These awards will be presented at the League's 2011 Awards Luncheon, to be held from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9 at Sardi's Restaurant.

SAFE HOME Extends Again At Interart Theatre Annex

Due to popular demand, Chris Henry & Royal Family's production of Sean Cullen's SAFE HOME, directed by award winning director Chris Henry, will receive an extension through February 13, 2010.

'VIVA PATSHIVA' Gypsy Rock Opera Welcomes METROFOLK 3/28

Following the Gypsy Rock Opera fusion of Viva Patshiva, the chairs will be cleared and the Metrofolk Band will take the stage to teach and play traditional Hungarian Gypsy folk dance and music.
