Rollingstone.com reports that Tony Award winner Cyndi Lauper is among this year's nominees for the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

The official Beach Boys (not to be confused with the currently touring trio of Beach Boy originals Brian Wilson, Al Jardine and David Marks) comes to Freedom Hill August 2. The official group is led by founding member Mike Love along with Bruce Johnston, who has been a member of The Beach Boys since 1965; also touring as the official group are Christian Love, Randell Kirsch, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill and Scott Totten.

Tonight, July 25th at The Cutting Room in New York City, a poignant glimpse into the life of Glen Campbell will be shared when James Keach, producer of the Oscar winning 'Walk the Line,' presents a clip from his forthcoming documentary on superstar Campbell, who recently announced his battle with Alzheimer's. Campbell's children, Ashley and Shannon Campbell, will open the evening with their band Victoria Ghost, and headliners The Young Presidents -featuring Mitch Kaneff and Jake Hertzog - will perform songs from their latest album.
