Peil is an original member of the Broadway company and was nominated for the 2017 Tony and Drama Desk Awards for her performance. She is a celebrated singer and stage and screen veteran, well known for her work in The King and I (Tony nomination), "Dawson's Creek" and "The Good Wife". Next, she can be seen starring in the acclaimed film "The Song of Sway Lake" opening in cinemas September 21, 2018.

GETTIN' THE BAND BACK TOGETHER Sets September Closing on Broadway

The producers of Broadway's Gettin' The Band Back Together, announced today that the show will close on Sunday, September 16 following the evening performance. It will have played 30 previews and 40 performances at the Belasco Theatre (111 W 44thStreet). Previews began on July 19 and the show opened on August 13. The Jungle by Joe Murphy and Joe Robertson has won the South Bank Sky Arts Award in the 2018 Theatre category. The production is set in Europe's largest unofficial refugee camp, the Calais Jungle, which in 2015, became a temporary home for more than 10,000 people. A National Theatre and Young Vic co-production with Good Chance Theatre, The Jungle is directed by Stephen Daldry and Justin Martin. It is currently in previews at the Playhouse Theatre in London's West End, produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, Tom Kirdahy and Hunter Arnold, following a sell-out run at the Young Vic in December 2017.

Kinky Boots producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that David Cook ("American Idol" Winner, 7th Season) will return to the role of 'Charlie Price' in the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) beginning on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. He will play a limited run through Sunday, September 9, 2018. Cook succeeds Tyler Glenn (lead singer of the multi-platinum rock band, Neon Trees) who will play his last performance on Sunday, July 15, 2018.
