Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, the award-winning worldwide smash hit Broadway musical, is returning to Omaha as part of the Omaha Performing Arts Broadway Series. Produced by NETworks Presentations, this elaborate theatrical production will come to life on stage at the Orpheum Theater for five performances - today, December 19, through Sunday, December 21.

The New York regional premiere of THE LITTLE MERMAID, with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and book by Doug Wright, will be directed by Jeremy Quinn with music direction by Stephen Ferri and choreography by Lexie Fennell Frare at WPPAC, today, December 19, 2014 - January 4, 2015.

Geva Theatre Center presents Little Shop of Horrors - the smash-hit musical by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, based on the 1960 film by Roger Corman. Directed by Sean Daniels, Little Shop of Horrors begins performances January 13, opens January 17 and runs in the Elaine P. Wilson Mainstage through February 15.

The Muny announced today the directors, choreographers and music directors for the Muny's 2015 Season, which opens on June 15 with My Fair Lady. According to the New York Times, Encores! has just announced the upcoming 2015 season for its Off-Center series. Included in the line-up is William Finn's A New Brain (running June 24-27), starring Jonathan Groff; Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party (running July 15-18), starring Off-Center veteran Sutton Foster; and Little Shop of Horrors (running July 1), with original cast member Ellen Greene.

Disney's Aladdin, the Tony Award-winning new musical comedy based on the Academy Award-winning animated film, proudly welcomes Steel Burkhardt to the role of Kassim beginning Monday, December 22. He succeeds Brandon O'Neill, who originated the role and will play his final performance Sunday, December 21.

Disney's Aladdin JR. is a one-act, seven-scene theatre musical adapted from the animated Disney film Aladdin. The production runs 70 minutes and is being presented by Yorktown Stage February 27-28, 2015.
