The SummerStage program of the professional company, Theatrical Outfit, is a month-long performance-based program designed for kids ages 10 to 14 (or 5th to 9th grade) who are serious about theatre but also looking for a healthy dose of summer fun! The program concludes with a fully-realized, professional musical theatre production.

Broadway In Chicago has announced that individual tickets for Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, the award-winning worldwide smash hit Broadway musical, go on sale to the public on Friday, January 23 at 10 AM. Produced by NETworks Presentations, this elaborate theatrical production will come to life on stage at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W Randolph) for a limited one-week engagement March 25 through 29.

Manila, Philippines--The first-ever international touring production of the Broadway hit musical Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast,' based on the 1991 Oscar-nominated full-length animated feature film, and now--after 20 years--has reunited its original 1994 Broadway collaborators: director Robert Jess Roth, choreographer Matt West, scenic designer Stan Meyer, costume designer Ann Hould-Ward, lighting designer Natasha Katz, bookwriter Linda Woolverton, composer Alan Menken, and lyricists Tim Rice (and the late Howard Ashman), is currently playing at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) until Sunday, January 25.

Today in 2008, The Little Mermaid opened at the Lunt Fontanne Theatre, where it ran for 685 performances. The Little Mermaid is based on the animated 1989 Disney film of the same name and the classic story of The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen. The musical's book is by Doug Wright, music by Alan Menken and lyrics by the late Howard Ashman (written for the film) and new lyrics by Glenn Slater. The musical had a pre-Broadway tryout in Denver, Colorado in July through early September 2007. The original cast featured Sierra Boggess in the title role of Ariel, Sean Palmer as Prince Eric, Brian D'Addario and Trevor Braun alternate as Flounder, Norm Lewis as King Triton, Sherie Rene Scott as Ursula, Tituss Burgess as Sebastian, Tyler Maynard as Flotsam, Derrick Baskin as Jetsam, Jonathan Freeman as Grimsby, and John Treacy Egan as Chef Louis.

He succeeds Brandon O'Neill, who originated the role and played his final performance on Sunday, December 21.
