Meet the Stars of Encores! 2015 Off-Center Season - Groff, Greene and Foster!

New York City Center's acclaimed Encores! Off-Center series announced its 2015 season today, featuring Jonathan Groff in A NEW BRAIN, original LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS cast member Ellen Greene, and Sutton Foster in THE WILD PARTY. JONATHAN GROFF

Groff, who will star in William Finn's A NEW BRAIN for Encores!, got his Broadway break in SPRING AWAKENING, for which he was nominated for Best Actor in a Musical in 2007. He and co-star Lea Michele appeared in performance at the Tony Awards that year, and you can watch a clip below!

Michele and Groff met up again on the small screen in Fox's hit musical comedy GLEE. Watch Groff belt out 'Bohemian Rhapsody' on the show below!

Groff recently appeared in the TV movie version of THE NORMAL HEART and stars in the TV series LOOKING (new trailer here). He also voiced the role of 'Kristoff' in Disney's FROZEN last year. Watch him in the recording studio for the animated film below!

ELLEN GREENE

Greene, who will return as 'Audrey' in LITTLE SHOP OF HORROS for Encores!, originated the role off-Broadway in the '80s. Below, watch her sing "Somewhere That's Green" from the musical!

Greene also appeared on Broadway in 1977's THREEPENNY OPERA, which earned her a Tony nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.

The actress went on to star as 'Vivian Charles' in the TV series PUSHING DAISIES in 2007 (watch a clip below!), followed by small screen appearances in HEROES, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and HANNIBAL.

SUTTON FOSTER

Foster, who will lead Andrew Lippa's THE WILD PARTY for Encores!, previously appeared in VIOLET, both at the City Center and on Broadway. Watch highlights from her performance below!

Foster is currently at work on the new TV series YOUNGER (check out a trailer below) and also recently appeared on the small screen in BUNHEADS. We can't wait to welcome her back to the stage for Encores!

New York City Center's acclaimed Encores! Off-Center series, under the artistic direction of Jeanine Tesori, returns for a third season of landmark Off-Broadway musicals, opening on June 24, 2015 with William Finn and James Lapine's A New Brain, directed by James Lapine. The season continues with a one-night only performance of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken's Little Shop of Horrors, directed by Dick Scanlan, on July 1. Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party, directed by Leigh Silverman, wraps up the season, opening on July 15.
