Triple threat performer Susan Egan is no stranger to theatre audiences. She originated Belle in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway and is now reviving it 20 years later for 5 Star Theatricals. She took time out of her busy rehearsal schedule to discuss the role and explain why it means so very much to her and her career.

In support of its commitment to theater for all, Trinity Repertory Company announces a series of moderately-adjusted performances of shows in the 2018-19 Season to meet the needs of audience members with autism and/or with sensory-processing disorders. Sensory-friendly performances will be identical to other performances of the run, but will feature a lantern placed discretely in the theater to let patrons know when a loud sound or intense lighting cue (such as strobe lights) is about to play, giving them the chance to close their eyes or block their ears. Tickets to Trinity Rep's sensory-friendly performances can be purchased as a subscription starting at $114 for all six plays or starting at $25 for single productions. Subscriptions are available now and non-subscription tickets will go on sale August 14, 2018.

The Warner Stage Company will present Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID, sponsored by Torrington Savings Bank, on the Main Stage July 28-August 5, 2018. In a magical kingdom beneath the sea, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above.

The classic hit LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS is making its way out of Skid Row and to the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Department of Theatre and Drama, running from July 12 to July 29. A remount will be presented from September 13 to September 23. 

Stageworks Theatre is proud to bring Disney's Beauty and the Beast to Houston. This romantic take on the classic fairytale will run July 20 through August 12, 2018. Adam Delka directs with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and book by Linda Woolverton.   Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. The original Broadway production ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Cockpit in Court Summer Theatre, in residence at CCBC Essex, will perform Disney's The Little Mermaid from July 20 through August 5. All performances will be held at The Robert and Eleanor Romadka College Center, F. Scott Black Theatre, on the Essex campus, 7201 Rossville Boulevard.

As part of its Summer Theater Festival for Families, Rivertown Theaters will close out its 2017-2018 season with a lavish production of one of Disney's timeless Broadway musicals that continues to be a favorite with multi-generations July 12 - 22.

With what is arguably the largest production in Maine State Music Theatre's history, the company brings a level of opulence, sophistication, and magic to the Pickard stage that makes this production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast a fitting jewel in the Diamond Jubilee Crown. It is no secret that the company has used every single ounce of its resources (and overcome a number of unforeseen obstacles along the way) to create this magnificent production, but the result has been entirely worth the effort. This beloved fairytale dazzlingly comes to life in all its heartfelt beauty.

TheaterWorks heads under the sea with their Summer Production, "Disney's The Little Mermaid' Directed by Chris Hamby, the production runs July 13-22. Led by Amanda Glenn, Nathan Sheppard, Shandi Ilyse and Anson Romney, the production features a cast of the Valley's most talented adult and youth performers. 

Based on the classic Disney movie of the same name, Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will be at the Fred Kavli Theatre from July 20 to July 29. 

The Charleston Light Opera Guild and the Clay Center will present Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID from August 3 to August 12 in the Maier Performance Hall at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences.

On July 14 & 15 from 11 am - 5 pm, The Contemporary Theater Company is holding open auditions for their fall production of Little Shop of Horrors, Music by Alan Menken, Book and Lyrics by Howard Ashman, directed by Christopher Simpson, musical direction by Jean Maxon-Carpenter, and choreography by Ari Kassabian.
