String Quartet Well-StrungTo Release Third Album This Fall Featuring Pop/Classical Mash-Ups

Well-Strung, the innovative and eclectic New York City-based string quartet that derives their unique blend of vocals and strings by fusing classical music with the pop music of today, has announced that their latest album, Under the Covers will be released September 14, 2018. Their third album, Under the Covers will feature a collection of covers that combine everyone from Lady Gaga and Vivaldi to Queen and Rossini.  The quartet, who have quickly gained international attention, playing in London, Rome and Vienna and selling out venues all across the United States, features Edmund Bagnell (first violin), Christopher Marchant (second violin), Daniel Shevlin (cello) and Trevor Wadleigh (viola). The Women's Forum of New York will present the 8th Annual Elly Awards Luncheon benefiting The Education Fund of the Women's Forum on Monday, June 18th at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. The awards, named for the Women's Forum founder Elinor Guggenheimer, will honor outstanding women leaders. This year marks the 31th anniversary of the Education Fund of the Women's Forum, which has helped over 220 women age 35 and over, whose lives have been disrupted by extreme adversity, complete their college degrees.

HBO's JOHN MCCAIN: FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS to Screen Ahead of Premiere at the Jacob Burns Film Center

For those who are having a “staycation” this Memorial Day, the Jacob Burns Film Center (Pleasantville, NY) invites all to join them on Monday, May 28th for the screening of the new HBO documentary John McCain: For Whom the Bell Tolls. The documentary was produced and directed by six-time Emmy winner Peter Kunhardt and Emmy winners George and Teddy Kunhardt.
