The opposites attracting plot is probably as old as romantic comedy itself, but even if Rooms: a rock romance follows familiar paths, the Paul Scott Goodman (book/music/lyrics) and Miriam Gordon (book) two-person musical is such a buoyant, funny and upbeat affair that the clichés of the story are conquered by the cleverness and exuberance with which the story is told. Under Scott Schwartz's swift and breezy direction, the 90-minute one-act scoots the audience along on an immensely enjoyable ride.

The 'annual migration North' is happening a little earlier this year as South Florida returns to New York in Flamingo Court. Written by Luigi Creatore and directed by directed by Steven Yuhasz, Flamingo Court will play at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) beginning April 18 through September 6, 2009.

Jeremy Schonfeld's 'DRIFT' BENEFIT took place on November 3rd At BB KING BLUES CLUB. This one night only event was a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids and The Broadway Dreams Foundation and was presented with Scott Coulter and Michelle Kinney and The Path Fund Inc.

Flamingo Court, the off-Broadway comedy by Luigi Creatore starring Jamie Farr (television's 'M*A*S*H,' Guys & Dolls) and Tony Award nominee Anita Gillette (Chapter Two, They're Playing Our Song), will play its final performance on Sunday, September 28th at 3:00PM after 68 performances (including 17 previews).
