I congratulate Everyman Theatre for presenting their initial Summer Cabaret which includes the stars from their wonderful production of LOS OTROS, Judy McLane and Philip Hernandez. The event will be at Everyman's intimate rehearsal hall Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.

Oxygen Media, the network for high-quality crime programming, kicks off a brand new season of true crime investigative series “Cold Justice” on Saturday, August 4 at 6 pm ET/PT. From executive producer Dick Wolf and award-winning producers Magical Elves, the series follows veteran prosecutor Kelly Siegler and her rotating team of seasoned detectives – Johnny Bonds, Steve Spingola, Aaron Sam, Tonya Rider and Abbey Abbondandolo, as they dig into small town murder cases that have lingered for years without answers or justice for the victims. The “Cold Justice” team has worked with local law enforcement from across the country on over 65 cases, and has successfully helped bring about 37 arrests and 18 convictions.

North Carolina Theatre Conservatory, North Carolina Theatre's flagship training program offering professional instruction in acting, voice and dance for ages three to adult, is excited to bring to the stage its production of Pippin, July 6-8 at the A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater at Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh.

PIPPIN opened on Broadway in 1972 under the direction of legendary choreographer Bob Fosse. In 2013, the show was reimagined as a circus spectacle for the Tony Award-winning revival. The North Carolina Theatre production of PIPPIN, showcasing the talents of its North Carolina Theatre Conservatory students, opens this weekend at The A.J. Fletcher Opera Theatre in Downtown Raleigh. At the heart of this production, is the enthusiasm and the charisma of the 38 middle school and high school students who shine under the tutelage of the professionals who they've worked with for four weeks this summer to put on this semi-professional production.

Fridays on Ice, the Ice Factory Festival's late-night salon series is thrilled to announce this year's lineup. Curated and produced by Kevin Laibson (formerly of The PIT and Magic Futurebox), with associate producer Jonathan Portee (The Late Stream), Fridays on Ice features cutting-edge micro-works by experimental comedians, rappers, storytellers, dancers, and cabaret performers.

Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre will present the world premiere of the new musical Havana Music Hall, this fall in Miami, Florida. This new show centers around the lives of Havana Music Hall's best-known musicians who are just about to get their big break before Fidel Castro seizes power. Havana Music Hall will play Actors' Playhouse October 10-November 18, 2018.

Ella es Colombia, a fantasy filled fable that is inspired by the soul of the Colombian people, music, literature and folklore will premiere on August 22, 2018 at the Cafam De Bellas Artes Theater. San Diego Junior Theatre, with a mission to provide engaging, innovative, high-quality theatre education and productions for children of all cultural heritages, ages, abilities and levels of interest continues its 70th Anniversary Season with a production of Mr. Popper's Penguins, directed by Ricardo Valenzuela. Mr. Popper's Penguins is based on the novel by Richard and Florence Atwater. Books and Lyrics are by Jody Davidson and music by Brett Schrier. The production will showcase the work of San Diego Junior Theatre youth performers and youth technicians, ranging in age from 8 to18. The production runs from June 29th - July 15th.

PIPPIN is the story of a young prince trying to find the meaning of life. Pippin's struggle to find out where he fits into the world is not unlike the 38 middle school and high school students performing in North Carolina Theatre Conservatory's production, which opens July 6th at the A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater in Downtown Raleigh. The students are part of the conservatory's Master Summer Theatre Arts School (STAS), one of the flagship pre-professional training programs of North Carolina Theatre. 'Pippin never finds anything fulfilling until he finally realizes he never had to go anyplace further than his own backyard to find what he was looking for,' says Director Tito Hernandez, who has been teaching at the conservatory for 18 years. 'It has a closure at the end and the message that you can search all over you want, but the happiness has to be within.' Hernandez first saw PIPPIN after it opened on Broadway in 1972, under the direction of Bob Fosse. But he says, this production is closer to the 2013 Tony Award-winning revival, including the circus choreography, acrobatics, and extended ending. And Hernandez, a dance veteran himself having made his Broadway debut in JEROME ROBBINS' BROADWAY, is no stranger to Fosse's artistry. In fact, he participated in a tribute event to Fosse before the legendary choreographer passed away and had the opportunity to meet him, work with his associates, and perform his choreography. PIPPIN runs July 6-8 at A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater at The Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.

Premium pay television network EPIX® has announced the 16 fighters who will be facing off with one another for the championship belt on the revival of boxing franchise series The Contender this fall. The highly anticipated 12-episode season, from MGM Television and Paramount Television, will premiere on EPIX on Aug. 24, 2018 at 10 PM ET/PT.
