Gold Medal Winning Olympic Gymnast Laurie Hernandez will co-host American Ninja Warrior Junior with Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila on Universal Kids, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment's network for kids 2-12. This next generation of American Ninja Warrior marks the first time some of the show's biggest fans can become part of this five-time Emmy nominated worldwide phenomenon. American Ninja Warrior Junior will premiere on October 13 at 7:00pm.

Eight Local Stars To Take Stage In Philadelphia Theatre Company's SWEAT

Philadelphia Theatre Company announces the director and full cast for the Pennsylvania premiere of Lynn Nottage's Sweat. This Pulitzer Prize for Drama winner explores Reading Pennsylvania's shrinking industrial economy and shares the fear, tragedy and hopefulness of a community being forced to accept inevitable change. The production will kick-off the first produced season under new Producing Artistic Director Paige Price. Justin Emeka directs a cast filled with local stars and Barrymore Award-winners who have earned extensive theatre, film and television credits. Sweat will run from October 12 to November 4, 2018 at Philadelphia Theatre Company's stage at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, 480 S. Broad Street. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presents a world premiere Kennedy Center commission, Long Way Down, running October 27 - November 4, 2018 in the Family Theater. Based on Jason Reynolds's New York Times best-selling book, this timely and compelling production follows Will, a fifteen year-old whose brother has just been murdered. Told entirely in free-form poetry, Long Way Down captures the potent minute Will spends in an elevator as he decides whether or not to take revenge.  On the ride down, mysterious guests appear at each floor, and Will realizes there might be a bigger story to be told.
