CATS Directed By Renee Chambers-Liciaga Comes to SALT Performing Arts ImageSALT Performing Arts presents the Tony Award winning CATS, based on T. S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats with a magnificent musical score composed by the legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber.

One of the longest-running shows in the West End and Broadway history, CATS is set amongst a larger- than-life junkyard playground. The musical is about the Jellicle Cats, who come out to play on one special night of the year - the night of the Jellicle Ball. One by one they tell their stories for the amusement of Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader, who must choose one of the cats to ascend to The Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life.

"I am thrilled to be creating some kitty cat magic with a multi-talented cast, crew and pit" says Renee Chambers-Liciago, CATS Director. "Although Cats is one of the most-popular musicals in musical theater history, having been performed around the world many times and has been translated into more than 20 languages, we have added some of our own "SALT" spice to present to you a fun and feline fierceness of this production. Visually, you'll be blown away by our set, costumes, and make-up!"

The show is directed by Renee Chambers-Liciaga with a crew of Lauren McComas (Producer), Elizabeth Tozer (Stage Manager), Brooke Spinelli (Costumes) Hannah Elliott and Celia Hernandez (make up), Chelsea Barnett (Assistant Stage Manager) and Rob Merow (Tech Director/Set Designer). The cast is: Chelsea Barnett (Alonza), Troy Cooper (Asparagus), Sara Helmers (Bombalurina), Andrew Blank (Bustopher), Rachel Smith (Demeter), Hannah Elliott (Electra), Emily Merow (Grizabella), Courtney Harris(Griddlebone), Schyler Marsh (Growltiger), Melody Stanert (Jellylorum), Brianna Marsh (Jemima/Sillabub), Evan Sykes (Macavity), Andrew Patterson (Mr. Mistoffelees), Julia Kennedy (Mungojerrie), Hudson Marsh (Munkustrap), Josh Calderon (Old Deuteronomy), Drew Kalkiewicz (Plato) Lauren Kennedy (Rumpleteazer), Brooke Spinelli (Tantomile), Stephen Fisher (The Rum Tum Tugger), Keyaira Tozer (Tumblebrutus), Heather Kalkiewicz (Jennyanydots), Sophie Rowland (Skimbleshanks), Leyla Marusa (Victoria)
