Today we are saluting the brand new revival of SIDE SHOW by looking back at the original production of the emotional and heartfelt musical.

The completely reimaged revival of Side Show took its much anticipated first bow on Broadway last night, October 28, at the St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street). Amongst the crowd for the production's first preview were super-fans of the musical and an array of stars, setting the stage for the kind of excitement normally only seen at opening nights. Directed by Academy Award-winner Bill Condon, Side Show will have its official Opening Night on Monday, November 17. In a first listen below, SIDE SHOW's Erin Davie and Emily Padgett perform the production's beloved showstopper 'I Will Never Leave You.' The music from Side Show is written by Tony®, Academy® Award nominee and Grammy Award Winning composer Henry Krieger (Dreamgirls) and Tony® Award nominated lyricist Bill Russell, with orchestrations by Tony® Award winner Harold Wheeler, with musical direction by Sam Davis. Act3 Productions presents Side Show, a heart-warming story of two sisters searching for love and fame. Side Show will run November 7- 23 at Act3 Productions in Sandy Springs. Inspired by the true story of conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton, the musical touches on the universal need for acceptance and the strength of the human spirit.
