BroadwayWorld has confirmed that SIDE SHOW's live Times Square simulcast of its opening-night Act 1 finale 'Who Will Love Me as I Am?' wasn't, in fact, live.

The completely reimagined revival of Side Show opened last night, November 17, at the St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street). BroadwayWorld was there for the special night and you can catch photos from the eopening night red carpet below!

Side Show made history on Opening Night, last night November 17 at 7:45 p.m. when Clear Channel Spectacolor broadcasted the show-stopping Act I finale in Times Square with never before used audio technology on one of their digital billboards. The rousing Act I finale, 'Who Will Love Me as I Am?,' sung by the show's two leading ladies, Erin Davie and Emily Padgett, was the first live performance in history aired in Times Square.

Prior to the show's opening on Broadway at the St. James Theatre, the creative team behind the innovative revival of the musical Side Show - director Bill Condon, composer Henry Krieger (Dreamgirls), librettist/ lyricist Bill Russell and scenic designer David Rockwell - visited THEATER TALK to share stories about the remarkable revitalization the 1997 musical has experienced under the stewardship of Condon on its return this fall to Broadway.

The completely reimagined revival of Side Show officially opens on Broadway tonight, November 17, at the St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street).

Ignite Theatre presents DREAMGIRLS, with music by Henry Krieger and book and lyrics by Tom Eyen. Directed by Keith Rabin, Jr. with musical direction by Trent Hines, the production runs December 27, 2014 - January 18, 2015.

Act3 Productions presents Side Show, a heart-warming story of two sisters searching for love and fame. Side Show will run tonight, November 7- 23 at Act3 Productions in Sandy Springs.

CHICAGO on Broadway's Terrra C. MacLeod and Bianca Marroquin are back on the road as the accused celebrity killers and reluctant vaudeville partners Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart, respectively, whose combination delivers equally strong lead performances.

Act3 Playhouse welcomes 'Out TV: The Next American Gay' reality star Vincent Leggett to the cast of Side Show playing the role of Jake, originated by influence Norm Lewis.

On Saturday, November 1st, TV personality Rosie O'Donnell and wife Michelle Rounds visited the revival of Broadway's SIDE SHOW, now playing at the St James Theater.
