The Blank Theatre and Marc Huestis Presents have announced a special multimedia event to celebrate the release of the audiobook of Marc Huestis's memoir Impresario of Castro Street, narrated by actor/activist and Blank Theatre Artistic Director Daniel Henning, on Saturday October 26, at 2pm. Hosted by Bruce Vilanch and featuring Teri Hatcher in a tribute to the late Carol Lynley, the event will take place at The Blank's 2nd Stage Theatre, 6500 Santa Monica Boulevard, in Hollywood. Broadway's Belasco Theatre will soon be home to an all new type of presentation. Netflix has announced Martin Scorsese's The Irishman will have a unique and historic theatrical run at the Belasco. The Irishman, starring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci, will screen at the famed theater from November 1 - December 1.

Just today, famed opera singer Plácido Domingo resigned from LA Opera amid accusations that he sexually harassed workers there. It seems as though such stories are far more common than they were a few years ago. In October 2017, journalists Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey broke the stories of women sexually assaulted and harassed by the movie producer, Harvey Weinstein. That story was followed by an explosion of women who shared their own experience of workplace harassment. So many women posted under the 'MeToo' hashtag, that the systemic infection of sexual harassment became harder to deny.

The Hideaway Entertainment and AGBO Films have begun principal photography on 'Cherry' starring Tom Holland (Spider-Man) and Ciara Bravo (Wayne and Red Band Society). Anthony and Joe Russo will direct 'Cherry,' making this their first directorial endeavor after their six-year Marvel journey. Based on Nico Walker's New York Times bestselling novel, 'Cherry' is the eponymous story of a former Army medic who returned from Iraq with extreme undiagnosed PTSD, fell into opioid addiction and began robbing banks. Additional supporting cast includes Bill Skarsgard ('IT'), Jack Reynor ('Midsommar'), Forrest Goodluck ('The Revenant'), Jeff Wahlberg ('Dora and the Lost City of Gold'), Michael Gandolfini (The Deuce) and Kyle Harvey ('The After Party').
