New York Philharmonic Announces 2021–22 Season

The New York Philharmonic has announced its 2021–22 season, marking the Orchestra’s long-awaited return to subscription performances following an 18-month period of cancellations due to the pandemic. For the first time in modern history the Philharmonic will be performing outside its home for an entire season. 

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association Announces 2021 Summer Season at The Ford

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association has announced details of the 2021 summer season at The Ford, marking the return to live in-person performances at the historic venue. From July 30 through October 31, the upcoming season is the venue’s first under the stewardship of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association.

Pacific Symphony Announces 21-22 Classical Season

Violinist Retiree From Los Angeles Philharmonic Joins PYO Music Institute Faculty

Philadelphia Youth Orchestra Music Institute will welcome violinist Mitchell Newman, who recently retired from the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He has joined the faculty of Prysm Strings and is working closely with its director, Gloria dePasquale, a cellist with the Philadelphia Orchestra. This talented musician is dedicating much of his time to music education during retirement.

Enrique Márquez Named Director of Music at Interlochen Center for the Arts

Interlochen Center for the Arts announced today that Enrique Márquez has been named Director of Music. In this role, Márquez will lead music programming, pedagogy, and curricula at Interlochen Arts Academy, Interlochen Arts Camp, Interlochen Online, and Interlochen College of Creative Arts. Márquez begins his new role June 1.

The Hollywood Bowl and The Ford to Reopen for the 2021 Season

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association announced today that it will reopen its outdoor concert venues—the Hollywood Bowl and The Ford—for the 2021 season.  Based on Los Angeles County Public Health guidance, the Hollywood Bowl will be able to welcome a limited-capacity audience of approximately 4,000 when concerts resume in May.

Nancy & Barry Sanders Composer Fellowship Program Premieres New Works

The Los Angeles Philharmonic today announced the world premiere of new solo instrumental works by the 2020/21 cohort of the Nancy and Barry Sanders Composer Fellowship Program (CFP), which are available to view online here. The class of 20 high school students were invited to write solo pieces for members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, which the musicians then recorded from their homes during the lockdown caused by COVID-19.

LA Philharmonic Launches Partners In Music Learning - YOLA National

The Los Angeles Philharmonic today announced Partners in Music Learning, a new regranting initiative of the LA Phil's YOLA National program, supporting creative youth development and music programs in regions across the U.S. Underwritten by an anonymous donor, this is the first regranting opportunity ever offered by the LA Phil.
