Katy Visual & Performing Art Center's Encore Players gave it their all in their final performance of The Diary of Anne Frank on Sunday afternoon. The play, directed by Tina Morille, along with Assistant Director Jordan Morille, was, in Morille's words 'about real people, during a real time in history, being forced to undergo real feelings and raw emotion in a literal and metaphorical cramped space.'

Directed by Tina Morille, this Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play will run two weekends, February 11-13 and 18-20, 2011. As both artists and educators, KVPAC was extremely proud to see such an enormous turnout of students to this past weekend's stage production of The Diary of Anne Frank. "This is an important story for young people to learn about," says Lisa Connolly, KVPAC's Director of Marketing. "The day will come eventually when all remaining, eye-witness survivors will have passed on. It is up to us to teach this new generation about the Holocaust, so they can accurately educate future generations to come."

The Katy Visual & Performing Arts Center (KVPAC) Board of Trustees hosted their annual fundraiser this year at the beautiful Agave Road located at 1016 FM 1463 in Katy on Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 6:30-10:00pm. The event was a Masquerade Mixer entitled An Evening in Monte Carlo, benefiting all KVPAC Programs. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, KVPAC annually serves more than 24,000 children, youth and adults through its tuition-based classes, community outreach programs and free ARTS for ALL! Events. Board Benefit Sponsors for this year's Masquerade Mixer were Two Forks Catering, Houston Slot Machines, Firethorne, the Jerry & Teresa Kennedy Family, College Nannies & Tutors of Katy, Katy Christian Ministries, Patti Lacy Realtor Coldwell Banker, LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch and Encore Print Store.
