On This Island, Ep. 8 'Siren Song Set for Ars Nova 2/25

Slant Theatre Project has announced that the next live episode of ON THIS ISLAND, their ongoing live theatrical podcast series, will be staged and recorded at Ars Nova, 511 West 54th Street in NYC on Tuesday, February 25th, 2014 at 8pm.

Naked Angels to Present 'LETTERS TO SANTA' at New School for Drama, 12/5

Naked Angels announced that Naked Radio Live, the company's annual holiday bash version of its popular Naked Radio podcast series, will be held Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 7:30 pm at The New School for Drama Theater (151 Bank Street, 3rd Floor, just west of Washington Street).

Official Opening Night takes place Tuesday, October 22 at 7:00 PM.

Azuka Theatre to Open 14th Season with DUTCH MASTERS, 9/11-22

Azuka Theatre's 14th Season begins with the Philadelphia Premiere of Dutch Masters by Greg Keller. The show is set to run as part of the Neighborhood Fringe in the 2013 Fringe Arts Festival September 11 - 22, 2013; Opening Night is Saturday, September 14 at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $20-$25 and are available online at www.fringearts.com or at the Fringe Box Office. All shows are performed at the Off Broad Street Theater at 1636 Sansom Street. Subscriptions and more information are available at www.azukatheatre.org.

Page 73 Productions to Sponsor Three Playwriting Residencies this Summer

The first weeklong residency was held at The Pocantico Center of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund in Tarrytown, New York from June 21-29. It featured playwrights Stephen Brown and Max Posner, along with director Portia Krieger and a company of actors. The Pocantico Center residency, established in 2008 by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, supports artists in their creative process. This was Page 73's fifth summer sending playwrights to the residency.

Azuka Theatre to Include SKIN AND BONE, TIGERS BE STILL & More in 2013-14 Season

Azuka Theatre's 14th Season will take audiences on a New York City subway ride, a tiger hunt through suburbia and back to a small northern Florida town that might seem eerily familiar. The season opens with the Philadelphia Premiere of Dutch Masters by Greg Keller. Then it continues with the World Premiere of Jacqueline Goldfinger's Skin & Bone, the second part of a trilogy she started with the terrible girls. The season concludes with the Philadelphia Premiere of Tigers Be Still by Kim Rosenstock. Azuka will also bring back the I Love You, I Hate You Happy Hour - an annual Valentine's Day event that now runs two nights and the tenth year of the Spotlight Series, a week of readings featuring plays and playwrights under consideration for future Azuka seasons. Subscriptions range in price from $45-$60. Subscriptions go on sale July 1 and individual tickets go on sale August 1.All shows are performed at the Off Broad Street Theater at 1636 Sansom Street. Broadway Hit VENUS IN FUR Plays Philadelphia Theatre, Now thru 6/23

Seduction and power, desire and sex are themes of David Ives' dark comedy Venus in Fur, receiving its Philadelphia premiere at Philadelphia Theatre Company tonight, May 24-June 23 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets). Directed by Kip Fagan, the two-person cast features Mark Alhadeff and Jenni Putney.

Nick Westrate Hosts New York Theatre Workshop's Casino Night Fundraiser Tonight

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo previously announced that the 4th Street Bar Association (4SBA), NYTW's young patron group, will hold a Casino Night, hosted by Nick Westrate (THE LITTLE FOXES, TRIBES), tonight, April 29 at New York Theatre Workshop, 79 East 4 Street.
