New Ohio Theatre's annual New York Indie Theatre Film Festival (NYITFF) a?" a unique presentation of film works by New York theatre makers a?" returns in 2020 with a stellar lineup, including a special screening of a feature directed by downtown legend Charles Busch, with a talkback with the artist, and a reading of a new screenplay written and directed by playwright, filmmaker, and author Brooke Berman (Hunting and Gathering). The festival events, including screenings, panel discussions, and social gatherings, will be held at New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street) in NYC's West Village from February 6 to 9, 2020. Access Theater presents a new, reimagined production of Beaumont & Fletcher's The Maid's Tragedy. Set in present day Hollywood, this production is presented by Pocket Universe, the company behind last summer's Julius Caesar set in an all girls' high-school. Pocket Universe - the company behind last summer's acclaimed Off-Broadway production of Julius Caesar set in an all-girls highschool - has released a brand new teaser video for the new, reimagined  adaption of Beaumont & Fletcher's THE MAID'S TRAGEDY. Thompson and directed by Brad Raimondo. PETE REX begins performances on Thursday, February 8 for a limited engagement through Saturday, March 3. Press Opening is Thursday, February 15 at 7:30 PM. WSR is excited to bring a 2015 LAB Series selection to the Mainstage with the Chicago Premiere of "Any Other Name." The dark comedy by award-winning playwright George Brant opens March 17, 2017 at Raue Center For The Arts and runs select dates through April 2, 2017. In addition to performances in downtown Crystal Lake, "Any Other Name" transfers to Chicago's Theater Wit April 21, 2017 and runs select dates through April 30, 2017.

The year has been kind to Paul, who is moving into his own place; less so to Carl, who is moving back upstate with his parents. Then there is Tamar, facing her first party as a divorced, newly single woman. Awkwardness ensues, along with party hijinks including alien spaceman sounds, airborne paper plates and a special Guest DJ Hour. Through alternating humor and pathos, The Party Play explores the impact the recession has had on the attitudes, ambitions and relationships of young urban adults.
