Transport Group's production of Mart Crowley's The Boys in the Band, directed by artistic director Jack Cummings III, will play its final performance on Sunday, March 28. The Boys in the Band plays in a site-specific production at 37 West 26 Street, between Broadway and Sixth Avenue, Penthouse.

Transport Group (TG), the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, has announced that its production of Mart Crowley's The Boys in the Band, directed by artistic director Jack Cummings III, will close Sunday, March 28 following the 7pm performance at 37 West 26 Street, between Broadway and Sixth Avenue, Penthouse.

The Music Division of the Library of Congress will present the 1934 Harold Arlen/Ira Gershwin/Yip Harburg musical revue 'Life Begins at 8:40' in concert, its first live performance in 75 years, in the Library's Coolidge Auditorium at 10 First St., S.E., Washington, D.C., on Monday, March 22, 2010, at 8 p.m. Aaron Gandy will conduct the cast of 25 and the 24-piece orchestra.

Casting has been announced for several upcoming productions from the American Musicals Project. The group will hold productions of Fiorello! on March 1st, Oklahoma!/Paint Your Wagon on March 8th, 'From On the Town to South Pacific' on March 15th, and The American Musicals Project Annual Gala Benefit's production of Show Boat on March 22nd.
