Tony Award winner Michele Pawk is set for a reading of Joan Crawford In...'Flesh and Blood!', written by Joe Major.  The event is invitation only, and will take place April 8 -9 in Manhattan.  With direction by Richard Roland, the show features Liz McCartney (South Pacific), Marcus Neville (The Full Monty), Roger Rifkin (Early to Bed), Ed Romanoff (Hairspray), Graham Rowat (The Boys in the Band) and Sarah Stiles (Vanities).

This film noir parody revolves around Joan Crawford in the starring role of a fictitious, cinematic crime-drama from 1955, 'Flesh and Blood!'  Crawford's character ends up  in a thrilling plot of murder, political corruption and the seedy world of 1950's children's television.

Pawk appeared in Crazy for You, for which she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award as Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical. From there she went on to three successful revivals-Merrily We Roll Along, Chicago, and Cabaret - and an original musical, Seussical, based on the works of Dr. Seuss.

In 2002, Pawk earned critical raves for her performance in Hollywood Arms, the Carrie Hamilton - Carol Burnett play adapted from Burnett's memoir, One More Time. Her portrayal of an alcoholic who dreams of success as a movie magazine writer, a character based on Burnett's mother, won her the Tony Award as Best Featured Actress in a Play. She was recently featured in Hairspray as Velma Von Tussle, after appearing in Mamma Mia!
