Rialto has announced its schedule of February events.

DISNEY'S NEWSIES opens at Artisan Center Theater on Friday, January 4, 2019 and runs through Saturday, February 9, 2019. The 196 seat theater-in-the-round is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst. Performances are at 7:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with 3:00pm matinees on Saturdays beginning January 12. Reserved seating tickets are $28.00 for adults, $26.00 for students and seniors, and $16.00 for children 12 and under.  Monday through Thursday tickets are $26.00 for adults and $14.00 for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at ArtisanCT.com, or by calling the box office at 817-284-1200.

Timon of Athens, at times a clunky collaboration and a clunkier mix of verse and prose, has much to say about how money corrupts and how spoiling adults is about as advisable as spoiling children. There's something of King Lear about it - but probably not enough.

Kathryn Hunter returns to the Royal Shakespeare Company to take on the titular role in Timon of Athens. Simon Godwin's production marks the first time this play has been staged with a female lead at the RSC. Kathryn, however, is no stranger to taking on such parts.

Company just opened at the Gielgud Theatre, directed by Tony-nominated director, Marianne Elliott. ATCO Properties & Management, one of Manhattan's preeminent owner/operators of Class-A commercial real estate, announced today that it has finalized a five-year lease for contemporary theater organization The New Group's administrative offices at 240 West 35th Street, an 18-story, 165,000 square-foot building in the Garment District. Productions in The New Group's 2018-19 season take place at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street).

When Shakespeare Theatre Company first announced their 2018/19 season, I was hesitant. The season didn't feel grand enough to serve as a proper goodbye to Michael Kahn, who has developed this company into an international institution. Having now seen their first production, The Comedy of Errors, and their spectacular fall gala, I think it is safe to say my hesitation was unfounded. STC is sending their founder off with quite a spectacular farewell.

Capturing audiences of all ages from start to finish, the Chicago production begins September 13 for an open run with a press opening September 21, 2018.

Having played Sir Toby Belch in the National Theatre's Twelfth Night last year, Tim McMullan returns to the Olivier for another Shakespeare play: Antony and Cleopatra. Taking on the role of Enobarbus, he shares the challenges and rewards of playing this character in this particular space and time.

The producers of TINA - THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL, the new musical based on the life of legendary artist Tina Turner are pleased to announce that over 200,000 new tickets will go on sale on Monday 24 September 2018, taking bookings to 20 July 2019.
