The cast guested as part of the show's 'Time Machine' Series. Friday's show took viewers back in time to - you guessed it - 1967, the year HAIR had its world premiere at the Public Theater. The producers of HAIR have announced the addition of Vanessa Ray to the 'Tribe.' Ray, making her Broadway debut, temporarily replaces Allison Case in the role of 'Crissy' until January 2010. HAIR began preview performances on March 6 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre and opened to rave reviews on March 31, 2009. Winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, the Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle also honored the production with their 2009 award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical.

In an unprecedented move, the producers of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical have announced they are canceling the show's Sunday, October 11th performance so that the entire cast can join the National Equality March in Washington, D.C. The announcement was made this evening by the cast of HAIR at a spirited rally in Los Angeles (the entire company of HAIR has traveled from New York to California to appear on tonight's broadcast of 'The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien').

The creators also discussed the groundbreaking musical and production. The event took place at 5pm on Thursday, August 20 at the Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle (1972 Broadway at 66th St), 3rd Floor.
