West End's COMPANY to Feature Same-Sex Couple Played by Jonathan Bailey and Alex Gaumond

Big news came from the Company Twitter when they revealed that the already innovative casting will feature the musical's first same-sex couple. Jonathan Bailey takes on the somewhat newly created role of Jamie (formerly Amy), the character blessed (or cursed) with the unforgettable song 'Not Getting Married Today.' Alex Gaumond will play his soon-to-be husband Paul.

This popular program, in its 17th year, offers half-price tickets to residents and visitors throughout the Berkshires. Patrons can buy same-day half-price tickets to performances at three conveniently-located ½ TIX booths:  Barrington Stage Company Box Office at 30 Union Street, Pittsfield, Lenox Chamber Visitors Center at 4 Housatonic Street, Lenox and the Triplex Cinema at 70 Railroad Street, Great Barrington. The program runs through September 8, 2018, Tuesday through Sunday from noon until 4:30pm. ½ TIX booths are closed Mondays with ticket sales for Mondays sold on Sundays.

Winner of 6 Tony Awards in 1971, Company also happens to celebrate a birthday. Bobby is 35 and single. His friends are married and nosy. Bobby isn't getting any younger. And his friends won't let him forget it. Many of Sondheim's most celebrated songs (The Ladies Who Lunch, Being Alive, Getting Married Today, Another Hundred People) come from this impressionistic concept musical.
