R&B/soul singer-songwriter Allen Stone has released a new single and accompanying lyric video today for his song 'Naturally' via ATO Records. Written with the impending birth of his first child in mind and galvanized by his overwhelming love for his new wife, Stone explains, 'The inspiration behind releasing this song comes from having my first child. In this journey that is about to commence we are choosing not to find out the sex of the child until the day of. Whichever bits this kiddo comes out with, we want he or she to arrive into a world where women are celebrated. Judged not by their physical attributes but rather the fiber of their traits. The Ford Theatres today announced the 2019 season of events at the John Anson Ford Theatres. The 2019 season will open on Saturday, April 27 with The Spring Quartet: Jack DeJohnette, Joe Lovano, Esperanza Spalding and Leo Genovese, who The Arts Desk described as "an expansive, freewheeling rampage, ideas flying out like sparks from a roaring fire," and will conclude on October 19 and 20 with a Dia de los Muertos Concert and Community Celebration. Legendary Grammy Award winner DIONNE WARWICK will release her first new album in 5 years, “SHE'S BACK”, on May 10th. Produced by her son Damon Elliot, the album will be released via his Kind Music and Entertainment One (eOne). The lead-off single will be an updated version of the Burt Bacharach/Hal David classic, “What The World Needs Now Is Love”, which Dionne recorded during the 1960s.

On Friday 25th January 2019, Isotopia Records will release High Tides, a new album of original songs by the singer Constance Hauman, whose critically acclaimed first solo recording, Falling Into Now, was included on The Guardian's list of the 10 Best Albums of 2015. High Tides, Hauman's second album, demonstrates her skill and craftsmanship as a songwriter and her talent and versatility as a singer and musician. The album contains eight new songs composed by Hauman, as well as Everlong by Dave Grohl and Les Chemins de l'Amour by Francis Poulenc. High Tides was produced by Constance Hauman and Ross Pederson - who was also the recording and mix engineer and performs throughout the album on drums, bass and midi.
To the delight of her fans, the 10th anniversary special engagement of Storm Large's autobiographical, one-woman rock musical Crazy Enough goes on sale to the public on Jan. 4. Crazy Enough broke records at The Armory in 2009 with a sold-out, 21-week run. Beginning with stories of a childhood complicated by her mother's schizophrenia, Large takes us through the ups and downs of the years that follow - sex, drugs, running away to California, and the saving grace of rock 'n' roll. Crazy Enoughfeatures original songs by Large and James Beaton, including the hilarious and incredibly catchy "My Vagina is Eight Miles Wide." It will be directed by Daniel Stern with original music director Beaton on the U.S. Bank Main Stage. Crazy Enough will open on Large's 50th birthday.

A musical celebration of how Native American musicians transformed blues, jazz and rock, RUMBLE: The Indians Who Rocked the World, will premiere on Independent Lens Monday, January 21, 2019, 10:00-11:30 PM ET (check local listings) on PBS, and will also be available simultaneously for online streaming at pbs.org. As the film reveals, early pioneers of the blues such as Charley Patton had Native as well as African American roots, and one of the first and most influential jazz singers, Mildred Bailey, had a voice trained on Native American songs. As the folk rock era took hold in the '60s and '70s, Native Americans such as Robbie Robertson and Buffy Sainte-Marie helped to define its evolution, and Native guitarists and drummers like Link Wray, Jimi Hendrix, Jesse Ed Davis and Randy Castillo forever changed the trajectory of rock and roll. The film is directed by Catherine Bainbridge (Reel Injun), co-directed by Alfonso Maiorana, executive produced by legendary rock guitarist Stevie Salas (Apache) and Tim Johnson (Mohawk), and produced by Christina Fon, VP and Executive Producer of Rezolution Pictures.
