Tickets on Sale for Pittsburgh Symphony's RHAPSODY IN BLUE with Lang Lang

Concert tickets to the annual Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra gala concert on Saturday, September 16 at Heinz Hall are on sale now! The concert, "Rhapsody in Blue," features pianist Lang Lang and is the kick-off of Music Director Manfred Honeck's 10th anniversary season with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

Pianist Daniel Hsu to Perform at Center for the Arts at Pepperdine

The Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts continues its 2016-2017 Recital Series with a performance by the First Prize winner at the 2015 CAG Victor Elmaleh Competition, pianist Daniel Hsu in Raitt Recital Hall at Pepperdine University at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2016. 

Las Vegas Philharmonic Forms American German Cultural Exchange Fellowship

Through a generous gift by German philanthropist Dorothee Hennings-Holtmann, the Las Vegas Philharmonic and the Brandenburg State Theater Orchestra, Cottbus are pleased to announce the American German Cultural Exchange Fellowship (AGCEF). This new and unique fellowship partners the Las Vegas Philharmonic with the Cottbus State Theater Orchestra in Cottbus, Germany and will give both organizations the opportunity to exchange guest artists with their respective orchestras.

Pair of CAG Winners Awarded Avery Fisher Grants

Two Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition winners have been awarded Avery Fisher career grants, a cash prize given to young artists on the verge of major careers. This year grants of $25,000 are presented to violinists Alexi Kenney, Tessa Lark, and Sean Lee, cellist Jay Campbell, and pianist George Li.

Chicago Philharmonic Releases Schedule of Upcoming 2015-16 Season

Chicago, IL – (April 16, 2015) The Chicago Philharmonic announces its 2015-16 season, Chasing the Sun: Transitions and Transformations. The season explores works written by composers at moments of significant change in their lives or careers. Scott Speck leads the orchestra in his third season as artistic director. “With a beloved masterwork, a virtuoso soloist, and a 21st century composer represented on every concert, the Chicago Philharmonic continues its adventures in direct, urgent, truly relevant music-making,” said Speck.

New Jersey Symphony Presents Grieg's Piano Concerto with Xiaohui Yang, Now thru 3/2

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra presents Grieg's Piano Concerto on a program that also features Dvor?a?k's Eighth Symphony and Sibelius' Spring Song today, February 27-March 2 in Englewood, Red Bank and Newark. Conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali, a 26-year-old prote?ge? of Gustavo Dudamel whom Gramophone has called a 'dynamic young Finn' whose 'career is developing at a rapid pace,' makes his NJSO debut. The March 2 performance at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark is the NJSO's second College Night event of the season.

NY Philharmonic To Celebrate the Year of the Horse with Chinese New Year Concert and Gala, February 1

The New York Philharmonic in collaboration with CAMI Music will celebrate the Chinese New Year for the third consecutive year, welcoming the Year of the Horse with a concert featuring major works of both the Chinese and Western canon on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. The event celebrates the cultural heritage of China and America and honors the Chinese- American community. Long Yu — artistic director and chief conductor of the China Philharmonic, music director of the Shanghai and Guanzhou Symphony Orchestras, and artistic director of the Beijing Music Festival — will return to the Philharmonic to conduct the concert.
