The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, presents the world premiere of the new musical comedy Christmas in Hell with book, music, and lyrics by Gary Apple ("The Simpsons"), with direction and choreography by Bill Castellino (Desperate Measures, York/New World Stages) and music direction, music supervision, and arrangements by Logan Medland (National Tours of Cats and Crazy for You). The eight-member cast features Scott Ahearn (Under the Knife: A Farce, Theater for the New City) as Richard, Donna English (Nice Work If You Can Get It, Broadway) as Mrs. Huvey, Lori Hammel (Mamma Mia!, Broadway) as Galiana, Elijah Rayman (Oliver, Goodspeed Opera House) as Davin, Zak Risinger (The Cradle Will Rock, Howl! Arts) as Carl, Brandon Williams (Gettin' the Band Back Together, Broadway) as Lucifer, Dathan B. Williams (Show Boat, Broadway) as Detective Zanderhoff, and Ron Wisniski (Beauty and the Beast, Broadway) as Principal Bolton.

CHRISTMAS IN HELL, a new musical comedy, will be have a staged reading on Friday, December 22nd at 7 pm as part of the Urban Stages Winter Rhythms Festival (259 West 30th St). The show won the 2017 Show-Score Best of Fest Award (Reading) at the New York Musical Festival.

Gary Apple, who has served as a contributing writer on hit comedy series such as "The Simpsons," will debut his new irreverent holiday musical Christmas In Hell during this summer's New York Musical Festival.

The event will be held in the 30th Floor Media Room of BMI's New York office at 7 World Trade Center/250 Greenwich Street tonight, April 26, at 5:30PM and is open to members of the entertainment industry as well as Workshop members. Reservations are a must: Ssantana@bmi.com or 212 220-3177. Running time is 70 minutes.
