PRELUDES Cast Album to be Released in Early 2016; Track List Revealed!

Ghostlight Records will release the PRELUDES Original Cast Recording in digital formats and in stores on January 8, 2016. Produced by LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and engaging new audiences, PRELUDES is a new musical by Dave Malloy, inspired by the music of Sergei Rachmaninoff, developed with and directed by Rachel Chavkin.

Breaking News: Tony Awards Administration Committee Meets for First Time to Rule on Eligibility of HAMILTON, SPRING AWAKENING, SYLVIA & More!

The Tony Awards Administration Committee met today for the first time this season to determine the eligibility of 10 Broadway productions for the 2016 American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards®, presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. The Tony Awards Administration Committee will meet a total of four times throughout the 2015-2016 season to decide the eligibility for the 70th Annual Tony Awards.

From Page to Stage, Broadway Hits the Books This Fall

Over the past few decades, many have bemoaned the rash of movies adapted for the Broadway stage, claiming that the theatre had lost its sense of creativity and enginuity. Some of these movie adaptations have gone on to have successful, award-winning runs (THE PRODUCERS and THE 39 STEPS to name a few), while many, many others have, simply, not. However, long before the stage looked to the screen as a source for new works, the inspiration for many of the theatre's best shows came from the pages of some of the world's best books; like THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, or the longest running show in Broadway history, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.
