Ice Theatre of New York presents its 2022 Home Season Performances on May 6 & May 7 at 7PM and May 9 at 6:30PM at the Sky Rink, Chelsea Piers. The annual Benefit Gala and Performance will celebrate the 35th Anniversary of ITNY on the third night of the Home Season, May 9.

New York Youth Symphony Jazz, led by Director Andy Clausen, will finish their season at The Times Center on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 7:00 PM featuring Benny Benack III as a trumpeter and Shenel Johns as a vocalist. Also, they will be performing a NYYS First Music Commission from Benjamin Morris.

In recognition of April as Jazz Appreciation Month the Bronx Music Heritage Center (BMHC) hosts  a discussion with Dr. Chris Washburne and BMHC co-artistic director Bobby Sanabria  about Washburne's latest book, Latin Jazz: The Other Jazz. This discussion will focus on why this genre of jazz is deserving of more appreciation from the jazz world.

Magnolia Park incorporates elements of hip-hop, emo and alternative pop into their music. Production images have been released today for the world premiere of Mike Bartlett’s new comedy and irreverent satire Scandaltown directed by Artistic Director Rachel O’Riordan at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre ahead of opening night for press on Thursday 14 April.

With a revival of Cock running at the Ambassadors and Scandaltown opening in Hammersmith next week, the playwright is quite the rarity, one of the very few to’ve had multiple productions on at the same time in the capital.

Craft Recordings is proud to reissue You Must Believe in Spring, the celebrated 70th studio album from the pioneering jazz pianist Bill Evans. Recorded in 1977 and released in 1981, just months after Evans’ death, the album marks the artist’s final studio recording with bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer Eliot Zigmund and includes stunning performances of “We Will Meet Again (for Harry)” and “B Minor Waltz (for Ellaine).”

Following postponement due to the Omicron surge in January, Jazz at Lincoln Center will honor the music and legacy of late jazz icon Chick Corea in Rose Theater on April 15–16 at 8:00 p.m. with Celebrating Chick Corea.
