BroadwayWorld was sad to announce the passing of theatre icon Carol Channing early Tuesday morning. She was most notably known for creating the legendary role of Dolly Levi in Hello, Dolly, a role she went on to play in more than 5,000 performances.

THE BANG GROUP'S delightfully offbeat Nut/Cracked returns for its 16th Anniversary Season with an ensemble of 21 dancers spreading holiday cheer. The new season includes McCallum debuts, iconic superstars, family-friendly entertainment, holiday sensations, and an outstanding roster of Broadway favorites including Jersey Boys, Spamalot and Something Rotten. I had the opportunity to catch up with McCallum President and CEO, Mitch Gershenfeld, to reflect on a very successful 2017-18 season and to get his thoughts on the blockbuster season ahead. (I will say at the start, I am a big fan of Mr. Gershenfeld for consistently bringing diverse and high-quality entertainment to desert audiences and for his constant optimism and positive energy.) The performance by WILLIE NELSON, originally scheduled for this evening, January 8, 2018, at 8:00 PM, has been cancelled due to illness. A replacement date is being sought, but none has been scheduled as of yet. Anyone holding a ticket for the Willie Nelson performance may either hold on to the ticket pending a new date or may return their ticket for a refund or exchange.
