Jen Gapay of Thirsty Girl Productions (the producer of The NY Burlesque Festival) and Daniel Nardicio, NYC's 'Willy Wonka of Queer New York (Next Magazine), are proud to present The 2nd Annual New York Boylesque Festival, April 26th & 27th 2013.

Renowned musical theatre composer/lyricist, Scott Alan and Broadway star, Caissie Levy, perform music from Scott's extensive original songbook and share the inspiration and stories behind them. Scott's thoughtful and moving original compositions have made him a favorite among many well-known artists including Sutton Foster, Jonathan Groff, Stephanie J. Block and Liz Callaway. The evening features songs from his four original albums.

Following sold out performances in LA and a critically acclaimed run at the undergroundzero festival in 2009, comes the Off-Broadway premiere of Pinchbottom's PRETENÇIÓN, UN CIRQUE DE BURLESQUE, UN BURLESQUE DE CIRQUE, a satiric new play that looks at the pomp and spectacle that is 'Cirque' theatre. Pinchbottom's PRETENÇIÓN is written and directed by Jonathan Van Gieson, co-directed by Jeremy X. Halpern and began preview performances March 31 prior to an official press opening of April 14 at the Elektra Theatre (669 Eighth Avenue, btw 42nd and 43rd Streets) in Times Square. Since their inception just five years ago, The Tenors have been thrilling audiences worldwide with their powerful voices and memorable melodies singing a blend of classical music and contemporary pop. Victor Micallef, Clifton Murray, Remigo Pereira, and Fraser Walters have performed on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" (with Celine Dion), for Her Majesty The Queen during her Diamond Jubilee at Windsor Castle, the live broadcast of the 2011 Emmy Awards in LA, at the opening ceremonies of Vancouver's 2010 Olympics, and for the NBA, MLB, and NHL All-Star Games. For their live Columbus performance, The Tenors will draw selections from their new album, Lead With Your Heart, as well as some of their past hits.

A May Sky Picture has announced the workshop production of Schuyler Iona Press' WHAT I'M FAILING TO LEARN, choreography by Joel Hanna, music arranged by Jeb Patton, co-directed by Darren Press, written and directed by C. Fraser Press. WHAT I'M FAILING TO LEARN will play a limited engagement at Off-Broadway's 13th Street Rep (50 West 13th Street, NYC). Performances begin Wednesday, May 15 and continue through Saturday, June 15. Opening Night is Wednesday, May 29 (7 p.m.).

On Friday, March 22 ONE DROP partnered with MGM Resorts International and Lamborghini to present One Night for ONE DROP, a global philanthropy event to raise funds and awareness to ensure water is accessible across the globe. President Nancy J. Uscher announced today the appointment of Moira Scott Payne as Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Cornish College of the Arts. Ms. Payne is currently Programme Director of Art and Media, at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, University of Dundee, in Dundee, Scotland. She will assume her new position at Cornish on October 1, 2013.
