Broad Views on Broadway's 2nd Annual Summer Fresh Festival is set to present the world premiere staged reading of Erik Ransom's "Civil Blood (The Resurrection of Romeo)" which serves as a fantastical, tragicomic sequel to William Shakespeare's "Romeo & Juliet".

Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott  are retuning to AMERICAN HORROR STORY in the upcoming season, Apocalypse, according to Variety. Britton and McDermott appeared in the first season of the series.

The Toronto International Film Festival® today announced two new films that will premiere as part of the Special Presentations programme in September. HBO orders Damon Lindelof's  WATCHMEN to series, according to Variety.

Hypokrit Theatre Company and Access Theater present R + J, a female/genderqueer adaptation of Shakespeare's classic Romeo and Juliet. Adapted and directed by Molly Houlahan featuring a diverse cast of 6 women/ gender-nonconforming actors playing all of the roles, previews begin September 27 at Access Theater in Tribeca. Opening is slated for Thursday, October 4.

A bold new drama about World War I and an unexpected and forbidden love between two soldiers - one American, one British - will have its world premiere at the 2018 New York New Works Theatre Festival.
