LuPone and Benanti Won't Peform In 'Sondheim' Benefit

A spokeswoman for Patti LuPone has announced that due to illness, the actress will no longer be able to perform tonight in 'Ladies Who Sing Sondheim'. According to reports Laura Benanti has also pulled out of the event due to illness also, Raul Esparza, Barbara Walsh and Donna McKechnie have jumped aboard as part of the evenings entertainment.

Lansbury, LuPone, Benanti are 'Ladies Who Sing Sondheim'

John Doyle will direct and host Angela Lansbury, Patti LuPone, Laura Benanti, Debra Monk, Pamela Myers and Jenna Russell in 'Ladies Who Sing Sondheim' for a benefit performance on Monday, April 7, 2008 at 7PM in celebration of The Acting Company's 35th Anniversary.

Peters at Acting Company Awards for Schoenfeld & Lansbury

Gerald Schoenfeld, Board Chairman of The Shubert Organization and The Shubert Foundation, will receive the Joan Warburg Humanitarian Award from The Acting Company on Monday, November 12. Legendary producer Edgar Lansbury, will be presented the John Houseman Award honoring his commitment to the development of classical actors and a national audience for the theater.

Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell Opens March 6

Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell, which combines the late actor-writer's monologues and stories with unpublished letters and journal entries, officially opens at the Minetta Lane Theatre March 6; previews began Feb. 20. Featuring Frank Wood, Kathleen Chalfant, Hazelle Goodman and Ain Gordon, this limited engagement will play through May 13.

Adam Pascal Adds Second Night in LA July 28

Due to popular demand, an additional performance of 'Adam Pascal LIVE in concert' has been added on Friday July 28th at the Brentwood Theatre in addition to the previously announced performance on Saturday July 29th.
