Conroy to Guest as Harris' Mother on CBS' 'HOW I MET'

TVGuide.com is reporting that Tony Award nominee Frances Conroy has been cast on the CBS sitcom 'How I Met Your Mother' as the mother of Neil Patrick Harris' character Barney Stinson. Conroy will appear on the hit CBS this season, the episode according to TV Guide, is titled 'The Stinsons,' and is described as 'the gang discovers that Barney has a fake wife-and-kid on call should his mother ever come to town'.

The Houseman Award honors a profound commitment to the development of classical actors and an audience for the theater. The award this year was given to Theatre Development Fund. The Warburg Award is presented for outstanding philanthropic endeavor. The award was presented to William D. Zabel, Chairman of Human Rights First, by its President, Michael Posner.

A spokeswoman for Patti LuPone has announced that due to illness, the actress will no longer be able to perform tonight in 'Ladies Who Sing Sondheim'. According to reports Laura Benanti has also pulled out of the event due to illness also, Raul Esparza, Barbara Walsh and Donna McKechnie have jumped aboard as part of the evenings entertainment.
