The end is near for BACK TO THE FUTURE – The Musical. BroadwayWorld has just learned that the Olivier Award-winning Best Musical which has sold $244 million and 2.9 million tickets (Broadway, London, North American Tour) will play its final Broadway performance in January 2025.

'Great, Scott!' Des Moines Performing Arts is opening another season of fantastic shows coming directly from Broadway.  One exciting thing about this season is that all six shows in the season ticket package are in the first year of their national tours. Their 2024/2025 season kicks off with the Lawrence Olivier Award winning musical 'Back to the Future.' While the show won Best Musical in London, it didn't fare as well on Broadway.  While both productions are still running, the question I had coming into this was if the show would hit 88 miles per hour and be a hit or not.

LES MISÉRABLES THE ARENA SPECTACULAR has set its full Australian Tour schedule. The show is coming to the ICC Theatre Sydney on 30 April 2025, to be followed by Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne from 14 May 2025 and then Brisbane Entertainment Centre from 28 May 2025 for strictly limited performances.

LES MISÉRABLES will return to Austin this winter. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, offering theatergoers the chance to experience the production live at the Bass Concert Hall. Learn more and see how to purchase tickets!

Tammy Faye will offer a digital lottery and student rush tickets for its Broadway run as two ways to get discounted tickets to see the new Elton John musical at the Palace Theatre. Digital lottery and student rush tickets are now available.

 Bat Out Of Hell – The Musical, featuring Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf’s greatest hits has announced the full cast joining the 2025 UK tour. Performances will begin on 6 January 2025 at Edinburgh Playhouse, running through to 20 September 2025 in Northampton.

On Sunday, October 13th, the Broadway production of BACK TO THE FUTURE: The Musical celebrated their 500th performance on Broadway at the Winter Garden Theatre. Check out photos from the celebration here!
